I treated myself to an early christmas present recently with the purchase of this Aradian coin with Zeus and palm tree from the FORVM shop. Remarkably well preserved, this coin is one of the best of it´s type with particular era date that i have seen. Confirming the coin as year 43 or 217-216 B.C was an easy task thanks to the clear and centred strike of the reverse.
I really like the exquisite detail the engraver worked into his/her masterpiece, in particularly the himation or cloth one can see wrapped around Zeus´s lower body. This can be seen much more clearly in the angled image bottom right.
